Today, many people are suffering from chronic diseases, which are threatening the human beings.The main content of the article includes 1) To examine whether physical activity can reduce the incidence of chronic diseases; 2) which type of exercise is the most effective intervention for chronic diseases; and 3) does the impact of physical activity vary by region?To investigate the impact of physical activity on chronic diseases,93 independent studies from 48 publications were included in this meta-analysis.A random effects meta-analysis was performed to examine moderating effects using Pearson's correlation.Our findings suggest that physical activity interventions mitigate chronic disease; Aerobic and resistance exercise show good conditioning,with aerobic exercise being more effective than other forms of exercise.Physical activity had an effect on patients' diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure,heart rate, whereas it had no significant effect on patients' BMI.Physical activity interventions for chronic diseases are influenced by regional cultural differences, where exercise has positive effects to varying degrees in North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Africa, while the effect is not significant in South America.This conclusion can support the practice of healthcare, disease prevention and health promotion.To reduce the negative effects of chronic diseases, people need to increase their physical activity.
