Abstract

Singing education extends beyond technical precision to encompass vocal health, student engagement, and active learning. This study presents Vocal Vitality: A Design-Led Journey to Healthy Singing, a pedagogically innovative textbook that integrates technology-enhanced learning tools to bridge the gap between vocal training and vocal health. The textbook incorporates QR code-supported multimedia content to facilitate an interactive, multimodal learning experience aligned with active learning strategies. Developed through document analysis and expert interviews, its design and functionality were assessed using ISO 9241-11 usability standards, demonstrating high ratings in efficiency, effectiveness, and accessibility. Educators and students highlighted its structured approach, digital enhancements, and bilingual accessibility, underscoring its potential to support self-directed learning and engagement. These findings emphasize the role of interdisciplinary, technology-driven approaches in vocal music pedagogy and contribute to the development of evidence-based instructional strategies in higher education.
