The illumination design simulation for an IT building has been carried out to optimize energy consumption through efficient lighting strategies. The design focuses on leveraging daylighting and integrating natural light penetration to reduce artificial lighting requirements during the day. Energy-efficient lighting fixtures, control systems, and load-shedding techniques have been implemented to minimize energy usage and costs associated with artificial lighting. The lighting design adheres to the GRIHA Rating Certification's Criteria 5, Section III, "Energy Optimization," ensuring that the building meets the required benchmarks for energy-efficient illumination. By optimizing lighting energy consumption, the overall environmental impact of the building is reduced, contributing to its classification as a green building that promotes sustainability and resource conservation.
