Abstract

Unlike the vast majority of English-language journals, most economic and management journals published in mainland China set up different sections based on research fields. In this paper we unveil and analyze this unique phenomenon. We collect relevant data such as total number of sections, amount of citable literature and publication cycle and so on, use descriptive statistics, regression analysis and other empirical study methods to quantitatively analyze the influencing factors of impact and evaluation of these Chinese journals. It is found that the total number of sections of the journals have significant impacts on their impact and evaluation.
