The digitization of food services has revolutionized the restaurant industry, yet the specific challenges of campus food ordering remain underexplored. This study examines the user experience of ePub, an online food ordering platform designed for a campus-based food service, and compares its performance against a commercial competitor, Portland Pie. Employing qualitative and quantitative methods, Efficiency, usability, and aesthetic qualities were assessed through tasks completed by eight participants. The results indicate that ePub significantly reduces task completion times and enhances user satisfaction with its straightforward, minimalist design. These findings highlight the importance of tailored design elements—such as intuitive menu navigation and order customization—in enhancing the efficiency of food service platforms for campus environments. This research informs future improvements for digital food ordering systems, emphasizing user-friendly designs to optimize accessibility and operational flow.
