(Y.N.). The study examined the effect of a 12-week Bungy Pump Training (BPT) program on cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF), metabolic syndrome (MetS) factors and body composition in postmenopausal women (PW). Fifty-six participants were assigned to the BPT group (n=30) and Daily Activity (DA) group (n=26). The BPT group completed 60-minute sessions 3 times a week, and the DA group performed daily activities. Body composition, maximum oxygen uptake (VO 2max), heart rate (HR), blood pressure (BP), glucose and lipids were assessed at baseline and post-intervention. In the CRF and MetS factors, significant improvements (p < 0.05) were observed on VO 2max , BP, total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), Non-HDL-C, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol in the BPT group. In the body composition, significant improvements (p < 0.05) were observed on body weight, BMI, basal metabolic rate, percent body fat, visceral fat area, skeletal muscle mass, body fat mass, and fat-free mass in the BPT group. The 12-week BPT performed 3 times a week was more significant on CRF, MetS factors and body composition in PW. This finding could be applied to intervention programs for PW in non-pharmacological interventions. Trial registration: Clinical Trials NCT06781541 on 17/01/2025.
