In the realm of nanomaterials science, the precise and controllable synthesis of nanoclusters remains a formidable challenge. This study focuses on the synthesis of silver sulfide nanoclusters via the halide ion template method, with an in - depth exploration of the underlying synthesis mechanism. By meticulously regulating halogen ion concentration, reaction solvent, and other reaction parameters, a diverse array of nanoclusters with distinct structures has been successfully fabricated and characterized at the atomic - precision level using X-ray single crystal diffraction. The results clearly demonstrate that halogen ion concentration exerts a profound influence on the structural characteristics of the clusters. Different halogen ions can trigger the formation of disparate nucleation sites and structures, and the choice of solvent also plays a crucial role in determining the structural properties of the clusters.
