An Efficient Cobalt-Catalyzed Approach for Synthesis of Benzoxazoles from 2-Aminophenol and Aldehydes

The cobalt-catalysed approach has been developed for synthesis of benzoxazoles under aerobic conditions. The easily available substrates such as 2-aminophenols and aldehydes studied for synthesis of benzoxazole products afforded with good tolerance of functional groups. The synthesised products obtained in good yields under additive-free and ligand-free reaction conditions.
