Abstract

To reduce channel conflicts, lower network energy consumption, and data delay, a non-layered communication protocol suitable for multi-chain network structures for farmland monitoring, named RBP, is proposed. The sink node schedules the entire network by sending command frames, and sensor nodes complete synchronization, data transmission, routing, and other processes according to the different command frames received. Simulation experiments show that the protocol not only reduces energy consumption and avoids link conflicts, but also reduces data delay and improves network reliability.
