Radio waves, sound waves, and optical waves are regularly invoked as signal carriers for information transmission or detection. These signals occupy a certain frequency resource. Regardless of the ongoing development of higher frequencies, the precious low-frequency resources are about to be depleted. However, based on the conventional signal analysis and transmission theory, the maximum information transmit rate in a given frequency range is limited by the Shannon channel capacity theorem. Theoretical or technical research pathway with higher channel capacity is not yet clear. Here we show that, any number of signals with different center frequencies, are capable of being transmitted in a certain frequency range without considering the concept of bandwidth or spectral component. Additionally, these signals can be separated and extracted without distortion. This result may potential change people's cognition of bandwidth, signal transmission, signal reception, and may transform the limited frequency resources to infinite.Furthermore, the proposed signal transmission and reception approach has completely abandoned the concept of bandwidth or spectral components, which may bring revolutionary change to all application and analysis fields of wave signals, such as communications, radar, navigation, electronic countermeasures, acoustic systems, optical systems, etc.
