Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common neurodegenerative disease that accounts for 60–80% of all dementia cases and affects millions of people worldwide. At present, standard drug therapies provide only limited symptomatic relief. Therefore, the exploration of novel therapeutic approaches is crucial for improving patient outcomes. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) has emerged as a promising non-invasive neuromodulation technique that may provide benefit in the management of AD. This review discusses the pathophysiological mechanisms by which TMS operates, evaluates its clinical efficacy in AD patients, assesses its safety profile, and suggests future directions for research.
