Exploratory Data Analysis with R: A New Approach to Seismic Data

In the field of geophysics, several erroneous theories were long accepted as fundamental laws and formulas. Recent corrections to these misconceptions have been made possible through the application of Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA). This article outlines how EDA contributed to these breakthroughs and provides a brief guide for those interested in adopting this approach. In addition, while introducing new data analysis methods based on EDA, I will also discuss the remaining challenges that warrant further clarification.
