Abstract

This essay commemorates Henri Ciriani (1936–2025), tracing his architectural work and influential teaching as a defender of ethical modernism. Through his built projects and his pedagogy at Studio UNO, Ciriani advanced a spatial language rooted in light, proportion, and human dignity, shaping generations of architects and reaffirming architecture’s civic role.
