This research paper explores the evolution of new media from its theoretical foundations in the mid-20th century to its contemporary manifestations in the digital age. Drawing on qualitative analysis of key texts, case studies, and industry trends, the paper examines how new media has reshaped human communication, social structures, and cultural dynamics. Utilizing a qualitative methodology, including thematic analysis and case study examination, the study highlights transformations driven by technological advancements such as social media platforms, artificial intelligence, and short-form content. The discussion synthesizes these elements, addressing opportunities and challenges like misinformation and digital polarization.
