Abstract

The study reveals a high burden of COVID-19 among healthcare workers, especially nurses, due to prolonged patient contact and workplace exposures. Despite vaccination efforts, stringent infection control practices are essential. Vaccinated healthcare workers had fewer severe infections during the 3rd wave, while the Omicron variant in the 4th wave posed high transmission challenges with less severe disease. Key demographic factors like gender, age, and comorbidity influence vaccination rates, offering insights for public health strategies to protect frontline workers.
