Enabled by the deep integration of new-generation information technologies, Smart Tourism optimizes resource allocation and enhances service efficacy through intelligent systems, delivering streamlined and personalized experiences to tourists. This study first conceptualizes the fundamental characteristics of Smart Tourism, then establishes a four-dimensional framework for tourist satisfaction within smart tourism ecosystems. Focusing on representative A-level smart attractions in Datong City, we construct a multidimensional satisfaction evaluation model and propose theoretical hypotheses to examine interaction mechanisms among variables. Empirical data collected via questionnaires were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Findings demonstrate statistically significant positive impacts of technology-enabled experience and service quality on satisfaction, with technological factors exhibiting dominant influence. This reveals tourists’ heightened expectations for system convenience and personalization. The study innovatively integrates sustainable development principles with smart tourism satisfaction mechanisms, advancing theoretical discourse on sustainable tourism governance.
