Purpose This study explores the relationship between Inter-Organizational Systems (IOS) adoption, Business-to-Business (B2B) integration, and Supply Chain Performance (SCP) in the automotive spare parts industry. It examines how B2B integration mediates the impact of IOS adoption on SCP. Design/methodology/approach This study employed a quantitative approach, utilizing a structured survey distributed to 70 automotive spare parts companies in Palestine. The gathered data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to validate the proposed conceptual model and assess the hypothesized relationships between the variables. Findings The results confirm that IOS adoption and B2B integration significantly improve Supply Chain Performance (SCP). Additionally, B2B integration was found to mediate the relationship between IOS adoption and SCP. These findings underscore the vital role of advanced technologies in enhancing the efficiency and adaptability of supply chains, particularly in dynamic and competitive industries. Originality This study contributes to the limited literature on IOS adoption and B2B integration in supply chain management, particularly within the automotive spare parts industry. It provides empirical evidence on how technology and collaboration can enhance Supply Chain Performance (SCP). Additionally, it offers a conceptual model that was empirically validated, advancing theoretical insights and providing practical strategies for businesses in emerging markets. Practical implications The findings indicate that the adoption of IOS and B2B integration significantly enhances supply chain flexibility by enabling real-time information sharing, which allows for quicker responses to market fluctuations and disruptions. Automation driven by these technologies improves operational efficiency by minimizing human error and reducing lead times, resulting in smoother workflows. Additionally, these technologies foster customer trust and loyalty by ensuring timely deliveries and offering personalized service, with improved responsiveness across the supply chain. Ultimately, the integration of IOS and B2B technologies provides firms with a competitive edge by streamlining operations, lowering costs, and strengthening market positioning, thereby enhancing profitability.
