Abstract

Automated vending platforms have become a vital component of modern retail, providing convenient access to goods in both urban and remote settings. However, the increasing demand for high-performance and energy-conscious systems highlights the need for embedded control systems that minimize power consumption while ensuring real-time operational efficiency. This paper presents the design and evaluation of an energy-efficient embedded control system tailored for smart vending machines. By integrating low-power microcontrollers, adaptive power scheduling algorithms, and sensor-based control mechanisms, the proposed architecture achieves significant energy savings without compromising functionality. Experimental results demonstrate up to 30% energy reduction compared to traditional systems, positioning this solution as a viable framework for next-generation vending technologies.
