The present study aimed to construct and evaluate the psychometric properties of the Envy Questionnaire (ENV-25) in a sample of 446 secondary school students from the city of Trujillo, aged between 13 and 17 years. The instrument was designed based on theoretical foundations that conceptualize envy as a multidimensional emotion, composed of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral dimensions. Content validity was assessed through expert judgment using Aiken's V coefficient, obtaining values greater than 0.80 for all items. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were conducted, which supported a three-factor structure with 15 items, presenting adequate fit indices (CFI = 0.927; RMSEA = 0.0685). Internal consistency, assessed using the Omega coefficient, was 0.905 for the total scale. Percentile standards were established for the interpretation of the results. The ENV-25 has proven to be a valid and reliable instrument for assessing envy in adolescents, making it useful for educational and psychological interventions aimed at strengthening socioemotional well-being in school settings.
