Abstract

This research formulated green bio-nanocomposite films via cellulose acetate phthalate (CAPhth) reinforced carboxyl-functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs- COOH) through environmentally friendly solution casting. We explored the influence of different MWCNT content on the composites' thermal stability and mechanical features. Comprehensive characterization confirmed the successful formation of homogeneous films with enhanced dispersion of MWCNTs-COOH in the CAPhth matrix, resulting in improved thermal and tensile performance. These Nanocomposites offer sustainable alternatives to conventional materials, which are in line with the circular economy principle and carbon reduction goals.
