Abstract

Motorcycle riders face critical safety challenges due to over-speeding, impaired driving, and delayed emergency response. RideSecure is a smart helmet system built on the LPC2148 microcontroller that combines MPU6050 accelerometer/gyroscope for accident detection, MQ-3 alcohol sensor for impairment monitoring, and GSM/GPS modules for real-time emergency alerts. Unlike conventional systems that only respond after incidents, RideSecure proactively prevents accidents through intelligent threshold-based alerts and automated emergency response mechanisms. The system is simulated and validated using Proteus and Keil environments for functional reliability.
