Abstract

This case highlights the clinical value of 4D-PET/CT for accurate target delineation in SBRT re-irradiation of a central lung recurrence within post-radiation fibrosis. Motion-resolved imaging revealed significant underestimation of the target volume using static PET alone, and its integration enabled safe, effective treatment with favorable metabolic response and excellent tolerance.
