Abstract

This study investigates the effect of occupational exposure to pyrethroid insecticides on the blood chemo-profiles of workers in the Jazan region. This study was conducted to examine this issue, and workers were divided into exposure groups based on how long they had been employed—from one to two years to more than eight years. Blood samples were analyzed to determine their parameters, and their chemo-profile was assessed by GCMS analysis. The study showed that as exposure durations rise, blood parameter alterations become more significant. Those exposed for more than eight years were far more sensitive than those exposed for shorter periods of time, and the prevalence of chronic disorders rose dramatically. The findings show a direct link between prolonged exposure to pyrethroid insecticides at work and changes in blood chemical profiles. The study emphasizes the importance of improved safety practices at work and the continuous exposure of workers to hazardous components while they undergo monitoring.
