Abstract

For the first time, the structural-mechanical and acoustic properties of a new promising Filler Metal based on the Ni-Cr-Fe system (INCONEL® 52 and INCONEL® 52MSS) were studied in a wide temperature range of 77-1200 K. Correlations were found in the behaviour of high-temperature acoustic absorption and the temperature range of plasticity failure in INCONEL® 52. It was experimentally established that the availability of more effective pinning centres hindered the dislocation mobility. It creates the preconditions for a more uniform distribution of dislocations, leads to the absence of gradients of local stresses, which in turn provides a high heat resistance and hot cracking resistance of the INCONEL® 52MSS alloy. It has been shown that the acoustic characteristics of alloys of different alloying systems make it possible to establish differences in the tendency to form hot cracks.
