Modern dentistry is oriented to the specific needs of the patient both in terms of function and aesthetics. At the same time, the possibility to apply various minimally invasive and non-surgical procedures makes it possible to offer a treatment that is easily accepted by the patient, but also represents a therapeutic option with a low financial cost. Such an opportunity is offered by au-tologous blood products, whose potential in tissue regeneration and tissue improvement makes them the preferred means of choice both as a primary and as an additional treatment procedure in various areas of dentistry. Numerous studies have compared the potential of various blood products in periodontal therapy. The development of autologous blood products, such as in-jectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin (i-PRF), offers promising advancements in many areas of dental medicine. Injectable PRF stands out for its superior regenerative potential when compared to other autologous blood products like Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP). Its application and exceptional qualities as a biomaterial, induce positive effects on osteoclast migration, proliferation and oste-ogenesis in general, enhanced antimicrobial activity, and improved outcomes in mucogingival surgery, sinus lift procedures, and, notably, in improving gingival phenotype. The present liter-ature review aims to summarize the possibilities of i-PRF in its application for the treatment and improvement of various clinical conditions including the gingival phenotype augmentation.pertinent keywords specific to the article yet reasonably common within the subject discipline.
