Abstract

This study investigates the adoption drivers of modern business intelligence (BI) visualization platforms in both emerging and developed economies. As organizations navigate the complexities of data-driven decision-making, effective business intelligence tools have become not only a necessity but also a key differentiator in maintaining competitive advantage. The disparity in the adoption rates and implementation strategies of BI visualization platforms between emerging and developed markets presents a fascinating field of study. This research aims to highlight the unique drivers influencing the adoption of these technologies, taking into account the socio-economic, cultural, and technological factors intrinsic to each context.Utilizing a mixed-methods research design, the study combines quantitative data collected through surveys of business executives across multiple industries with qualitative insights gathered from in-depth interviews with key stakeholders involved in BI implementation. The quantitative component assesses the perceived value, ease of use, and organizational readiness as primary adoption drivers, while the qualitative aspect delves into the contextual factors that influence BI adoption strategies in various economic settings.Preliminary findings suggest that while both emerging and developed economies recognize the significance of BI visualization platforms in enhancing operational efficiency and data-driven insights, their adoption is driven by distinct factors. Emerging economies are primarily influenced by the need for improved decision-making capabilities and competitive positioning, often guided by external pressures from global partners and technology providers. Conversely, organizations in developed economies show a stronger emphasis on integrating BI tools within established systems and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, driven by a higher degree of organizational maturity. The study concludes with practical recommendations for organizations and policymakers on how to enhance the successful adoption of BI visualization platforms. By understanding the specific drivers in their respective contexts, organizations can tailor their strategies, ensuring that they are not only adopting the right tools but also leveraging them effectively in pursuit of their strategic goals. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge surrounding business intelligence and offers valuable insights for practitioners aiming to optimize their data analytics capabilities in various economic landscapes.
