Abstract

The aim of this research work is to establish and evaluate the canons through which true knowledge can be differentiated from falsity, and to expose more about Francis Bacon's theory of knowledge, the method he introduced, the obstacles or hindrances of human attainment of knowledge, and to find out the implications of his theory of knowledge to the modern science of today. On another hand also awaken people’s minds from the slumber of ignorance, change the psychology of those who abhor knowledge, and increase them to the power of knowledge and the possible hindrances which he calls vitalities. Epistemology as aphilosophical discipline is important hence it investigates the extent of human knowledge. It established the range and limits of knowing, and what happens beyond these limits.
