Abstract

Recent reports showed that the incidence of syphilis in the US reached a 70-year high. Using 2019-2023 data from Truveta, this study demonstrated that while the incidence of syphilis increased from 2020 to 2022, it started to decline in 2023. The decline was driven by population subgroups that are commonly considered higher-risk for syphilis infection. Findings also highlighted growing trends among lower-risk population subgroups.
