Abstract

Caenorhabditis elegans β-catenin SYS-1 is asymmetrically regulated by Wnt/β-catenin signaling to differentially activate target genes, yet SYS-1 is symmetrically enriched at mitotic centrosomes to drive its mitotic turnover. The dynein microtubule motor is shown to be necessary for both the appropriate centrosomal enrichment of SYS-1 and its eventual clearance.
