Results from OddPub: We did not detect open data. We also did not detect open code. Researchers are encouraged to share open data when possible (see Nature blog).

Results from LimitationRecognizer: We detected the following sentences addressing limitations in the study:
Limitations of this study: This study had several limitations. First, because this study was conducted using Internet monitors, generalizability of the results is unclear. However, we attempted to minimize subject bias as much as possible by sampling by region, occupation, and prefecture based on the incidence of infection. Second, we used a self-reported assessment of alcohol consumption in this study. Given that research has shown that drinkers tend to underreport their alcohol consumption,28 it is possible that the same occurred in this study. However, we think that underreporting was relatively unlikely because we used an anonymous survey conducted on the Internet. Third, we determined participants’ loneliness using one question based on previous studies.29 Further studies using other assessment methods are needed to confirm our results.30,31

    About SciScore

SciScore is an automated tool that is designed to assist expert reviewers by finding and presenting formulaic information scattered throughout a paper in a standard, easy to digest format. SciScore checks for the presence and correctness of RRIDs (research resource identifiers), and for rigor criteria such as sex and investigator blinding. For details on the theoretical underpinning of rigor criteria and the tools shown here, including references cited, please follow this link.
