Results from LimitationRecognizer: We detected the following sentences addressing limitations in the study:Our study had several limitations. Firstly, our analyses were limited by the number of genetic variants that overlapped between the COVID-19 HG meta-analysis and the datasets that were used for this study. Thus, we could not test some genes that may be of importance. Secondly, replication of our result in an independent dataset was not possible due to the lack of COVID-19 GWAS data available at the present time; therefore first-time associations identified by our analyses should be considered with caution. Lastly, the lung and blood -omics data used reflect the transcriptomic and proteomic profile under normal conditions, however it is likely that that these associations may change under stimulation by viral infection or acute inflammation.
