Results from OddPub: We did not detect open data. We also did not detect open code. Researchers are encouraged to share open data when possible (see Nature blog).

Results from LimitationRecognizer: We detected the following sentences addressing limitations in the study:
The lack of a comparison group with older individuals who were not participating in physical activity programs and/or an educational program prior to COVID-19 pandemic is a limitation of present study, because it does not allow us to affirm that the present small reduction in physical activity and the no change in HRQL was due to prior physical exercise and/or educational program participation. The measure of physical activity levels by questionnaire, instead of more accurate tools such as accelerometers is also a limitation that should be acknowledged. The present study has also important implications. Low levels of physical activity is associated with innumerous age-related cardiometabolic and functional impairments 6,7,19. For example, few weeks of reduction in levels of physical activity may result in deleterious effects on glycemic control, body composition, inflammatory cytokines, blood pressure, vascular function, cardiorespiratory/muscle fitness, balance and agility 6,7,19. In addition, reductions in levels of physical activity, as the observed in the present study, may result in increased incidence of NCDs and mortality if persisting for long periods 6. Finally, it is also important to note that we found substantial increases in the levels of sedentary behavior, which may potentiate the above-mentioned deleterious effects of reduced levels of physical activity 6. In this context, strategies for promoting adequate levels of physical activity and reducing sedentary beh...

Results from TrialIdentifier: No clinical trial numbers were referenced.

Results from Barzooka: We found bar graphs of continuous data. We recommend replacing bar graphs with more informative graphics, as many different datasets can lead to the same bar graph. The actual data may suggest different conclusions from the summary statistics. For more information, please see Weissgerber et al (2015).

Results from JetFighter: We did not find any issues relating to colormaps.

    About SciScore

SciScore is an automated tool that is designed to assist expert reviewers by finding and presenting formulaic information scattered throughout a paper in a standard, easy to digest format. SciScore checks for the presence and correctness of RRIDs (research resource identifiers), and for rigor criteria such as sex and investigator blinding. For details on the theoretical underpinning of rigor criteria and the tools shown here, including references cited, please follow this link.
