Results from LimitationRecognizer: We detected the following sentences addressing limitations in the study:
It is mediated by the increase of cytokines and chemokines, reactive oxygen species (ROS) and second lipid messengers produced by astrocytes and microglia, endothelial and peripheral immune cells [78], with self-limitation after resolution [79, 80]. On the other hand, chronic neuroinflammation implies persistent activation of microglia and other immune cells in the CNS with potential damage [81–83]. Amplified or chronic inflammatory activation can lead to pathological changes and neurobehavioral complications, such as depression and cognitive deficits [77, 84, 85]. In this study, we measured peripheral blood immunity associated factors, which might partially correspond to the CNS findings discussed above. Among the 11 upregulated plasma biomarkers in individuals with visuoconstructive deficit, 10 composed a functional network based on experimental observation or high confidence computational predictions that they interact by up-or downregulating each other (Figure 6). These interactions are represented by the broken edges of the network connecting the nodes, which, in turn, represent the protein biomarkers. Furthermore, six of the 10 biomarkers in the network are related to the clinical pathology endpoints hepatic necrosis and five to cardiac necrosis, events that can result in the upregulation of these associated biomarkers. Finally, four biomarkers are components of the canonical “Neuroinflammation Signaling Pathway” and four of the “IL-17 Signaling pathway”. The fact that ...

    About SciScore

SciScore is an automated tool that is designed to assist expert reviewers by finding and presenting formulaic information scattered throughout a paper in a standard, easy to digest format. SciScore checks for the presence and correctness of RRIDs (research resource identifiers), and for rigor criteria such as sex and investigator blinding. For details on the theoretical underpinning of rigor criteria and the tools shown here, including references cited, please follow this link.
